1.74% fall in cheap car insurance prices during 2006
People searching for a cheap car insurance deal will be glad to hear that the average motor insurance premium has fallen by 1.74% during 2006.
The study, carried out by Consumer Intelligence, shows that although in the end it has been good for drivers looking for bargain car insurance, it has not been plain sailing. Premiums reportedly rose by 0.74% during the latter half of 2005, despite the emergence of a new cheap car insurance provider, swiftcover.com.
However, the future might not be so rosy for cheap car insurance hunters. It is predicted that many motor insurers will see a loss this year and will have to raise prices accordingly.
