Cheap car insurance company offers multi-car discount
Although insuring multiple vehicles has always been quite an expensive prospect, things are beginning to change with Direct Line's announcement that they are reducing costs for people looking for cheap car insurance on more than one vehicle.
The motor insurance company is letting customers use their no claims discount (NCD) on up to nine vehicles and is offering a 10% overall discount for those who get their cheap car insurance for multiple vehicles.
A spokesperson for Direct Line said, "Many motorists now own two cars and it doesn't seem fair that although they have proved they are a safe driver they are unable to claim NCD on more than one car.
"Direct Line believes that if you have evidence that shows you are a safe driver you should be able to benefit from a discount on all your insurance, not just one policy."
Research has shown that this could mean cheap car insurance for the millions of people in the UK who are known to own more than one vehicle.
