Cheap car insurance deals for older drivers means that many can now afford to buy the cars they dreamed of when they were younger, new research has revealed.
With years of no-claims discount and an established career, motorists of the more senior variety now have a little more cash to splash on the cars that they lusted for in their youth. And the motors of TV stars from days gone by seem to be a massively popular choice.

Saga Motor Insurance have discovered that the most popular ‘celebrity car’ among their customers is the Jaguar XJ-S driven by The Saint in the 1970s TV show, but Magnum PI's Ferrari 308 has also proved to be a favourite. Unsurprisingly, James Bond’s cars are hugely popular, including the Lotus Espirit Turbo, as driven by 007 in For Your Eyes Only, and the Living Daylights’ beautiful Aston Martin V8 Volante. Andrew Goodsell, Chief Executive of Saga Motor Insurance, commented, “These results demonstrate that we are young at heart when it comes to choosing our cars. |
