Cheap car insurance from Ryanair lands in the UK
There is now even more choice for drivers looking for a cheap car insurance deal following the announcement that Ryanair is going to start offering motor insurance.
Ryanair, one of the largest providers of cut-price flights in Europe, has broken into the insurance market with the launch of online quotation systems for cheap car insurance, home insurance, and property abroad insurance.
The company has said in the past that it is its aim to fund practically free European flights through the sales of extras such as in-flight entertainment and car hire. The launch of this cheap car insurance product seems to be one more step on the way to achieving this goal.
Sales figures show that customers are buying into these ancillary products, with sales levels up by over a third in the year to the end of March.
A spokesman for insuresupermarket.com commented about the car insurance Ryanair is offering, saying, "Ryanair's offer is low in terms of costs, their cover seems quite comprehensive and also they have an introductory offer - if you take one of their policies you get the option to win a convertible car."
