TRACKER retrieves vehicles worth £30m

TRACKER, a company who specialises in recovering stolen vehicles, is celebrating after retrieving £30 million worth of vehicles for its clients in 2005.

The majority of the vehicles that were tracked were cars, although plant equipment, commercial vehicles, and caravans also accounted for a sizeable portion of the total cost of vehicles recovered.

Parita Patel, marketing manager for TRACKER UK, said: "Breaking the £30 million barrier, in terms of the value of vehicles recovered, is a monumental achievement and provides the reassurance to our business and private customers that we are helping the police in its war on vehicle crime."

Between a half and a third of vehicles that are stolen are not recovered, and the owners of the lost cars are the ones who pay the price. Victims of car theft where the vehicle was not recovered face either the costs of replacing it or, if they have adequate cover and choose to claim, higher vehicle insurance premiums.
