swiftcover.com introduces motor insurance quote by text service
Most people have experienced getting a motor insurance quote over the phone or online. However, there is now a new way to find out your car insurance premium: text.
The company Text2Insure has been developing the technology that will allow customers to get a quick motor insurance quote in a matter of minutes just by use of their mobile phone.
Online car insurance company swiftcover.com has teamed up with Text2Insure and is introducing the new motor insurance quote technology, which they have named Swift Text.
The chief executive of swiftcover.com, Andrew Blowers, commented, "A text system for quotes is a natural addition to our online service, where consumers can get quotes, buy and manage policies and make claims entirely online."
In order to get a motor insurance quote by text, customers send "SWIFT" to 61066 and are then guided through the process, which involves sending some basic personal details and information about the car they drive.
However, it is not yet possible to complete the purchase of a motor insurance quote by text. At the end of the series of texts, customers are given a quote ID and directed to the swiftcover.com website to retrieve their cheap car insurance quote and buy it online if they wish to.
