BMW Concept CS
The BMW Concept CS is a car which doesn't scream for attention like some of the more full-on concept vehicles; instead, its sleek lines and elegant sculpting subtly suggest that this is a vehicle of elegance, power and sophistication, and that you have no option but to gaze at it. You can't help but really, really want one. Right now, and in steely grey, preferably.

Although it is obvious from a second's glance that it is a BMW (the immediately recognisable and highly controversial flame surfacing evident along the side panels makes sure of that), there are some noticeable differences too. The classic kidney-shaped grill has undergone a slight reshaping, and the designer has been let at the even-more classic Hofmeister kink. But it works, and the BMW Concept CS looks all the better for it.

You would be forgiven for getting all misty-eyed over the BMW Concept Coupe Mille Miglia. This is a car of today, but with all those essential racing features from yesteryear it would fit right in on one of the original Mille Miglia races. The hinged hard-top roof, the lack of doors and the aerodynamically-shaped body all hark back to those glorious 1000 mile runs across stunning Italian scenery.

Whilst its oh-so-long bonnet and sweeping curves are reminiscent of those found on the original BMW 328 that took on the Mille Miglia between 1936 and 1940, there are lots of little differences carefully hidden away from your first glance. Its circular headlights are full of tiny LEDs, and its underbody fins are made from carbon fibre. However, these modern touches do not detract in the slightest from this fabulously historic-looking motor vehicle.

BMW H2R
The BMW H2R isn't your typical BMW. Nor is it your typical concept car. Well, it isn't a concept car at all really; it is a record-breaking monster of a hydrogen-fuelled vehicle. Its special internal combustion engine is to thank for the fact it is incredibly powerful (0 to 60 in under six seconds) but super-duper clean and green at the same time.

As you might expect from the fastest hydrogen-powered car in the world, BMW spent a lot of time sculpting the body of the H2R to make it as aerodynamic as possible. The results: a fluid, flowing shape which, whilst not being very similar to other BMWs, is still rather elegant in a futuristic kind of way.
