Cheap car insurance firm reveals 82% of Brits want eco-friendly services
A cheap car insurance company has found that more and more people in the UK are now looking for financial services that have environmentally-friendly benefits.
Co-operative Financial Services (CFS), which provides a range of insurance products including an eco-friendly motor insurance policy, has revealed that 82% of consumers would choose a "green" financial product over a standard one.
CFS is one of a fast-growing number of companies which offer products that are tailored to help the environment, which include ethical investment funds, eco-friendly motor insurance and green mortgages.
A spokesperson for the cheap car insurance firm said: "Research shows that ethical consumerism is growing and is already worth more than £29.3 billion to the UK economy.
"We have been aware of the growing influence of ethics in consumer choice since we launched our ethical policy 15 years ago, and it [has] now become more mainstream."
