Cheap car insurance company offers continental driving reminder
A cheap car insurance company is urging people intending to retire to Europe to ensure their vehicle is ready for the move to the continent.
Saga, which provides specialist motor insurance for drivers aged 50 and over, is reminding drivers to take account of the fact that motoring regulations are different in many European countries to the UK.
The company advises drivers that they may well be required to carry their driving licence and motor insurance documents on them at all times. It is also important to check that their cheap car insurance is adequate to cover them for driving on foreign soil.
Motorists planning on taking their car to Europe should ensure that their headlights are realigned accordingly and remember that many countries require drivers to keep a warning triangle (or two, in some cases) in the back of the car.
