Three top prizes for Audi models at prestigious awards
The recent British Insurance Car Safety Awards (BICSA) have once again recognised the high safety standards achieved by motor manufacturer Audi. Car insurance buyers will be pleased to hear that for the third consecutive year Audi took the prestigious Manufacturer Award presented by the Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre, Thatcham.
The top BICSA prize goes to the manufacturer producing the widest range of models that satisfy stringent criteria laid down by Thatcham, including the achievement of a five star rating for 'theft of' security and a rating of at least four stars for 'theft from' security.
Owners of models possessing top security ratings will find this reflected in their car insurance quote.
Three models topped their class:
- The A4 range was voted most secure in the compact executive class;
- The S8 topped the performance car class;
- The TT Roadster pipped the rest to take the plaudits in the convertible/roadster class
Jeremy Hicks, Director of Audi UK, said, "To be acknowledged as number one for car security for a third consecutive year is an achievement which Audi AG's security team can take considerable pride in."
