Cost of cover should go up for driver who caused collision

A motorist will possibly face a higher bill for his BMW car insurance after causing an accident which closed two lanes of traffic in Polk County, Oregon, in America recently.

The crash did not cause any injuries, but stalled traffic for approximately an hour at around 2:20 pm.

The Sheriff's deputy said that the BMW had been crossing Highway 22 from Highway 51 when it was struck by a Suburban which was heading west on Highway 22.

According to the deputy, the driver of the Suburban was unable to see the crossing vehicle due to cars parked in the centre lane.

Although it seems likely that car insurance quotes will increase for one or more of the motorists concerned, the driver of each vehicle, along with three children and two dogs, who were involved managed to escape without injury.

The driver of the BMW will be given a citation which alleges that he failed to obey a traffic control device (traffic-light).

The Oregon Department of Transportation officials blocked all traffic until tow trucks were able to remove the wrecked cars from the highway.

The driver responsible may now have higher BMW car insurance to pay but he at least remains uninjured for the Christmas holiday season.
