BMW car insurance holder's car in strange accident
Normally when purchasing BMW car insurance the owner would not have to worry about flying taxis hitting the vehicle from above, however this was the case in Ottawa, Canada earlier this week.
The taxi driver had reportedly just picked up two passengers, a man and a woman, minutes before the crash. As he was leaving Brookfield Road the passengers reported that their driver suffered a seizure which caused him to slam his foot on the acceleration pedal and accelerate onto Junction Avenue.
The taxi reportedly flew up over a grassy hill, smashing through trees, before not only crashing into the parked BMW but flipping it over. Amazingly, the taxi landed upright on top.
Later, the BMW owner, who was not inside the car at the time, must have been thinking about his car insurance coverage when he stepped outside his house to see his car upside down on the road.
The two taxi passengers and the driver were pulled to safety by paramedics, with only the driver in need of a trip to the hospital.
Hopefully, the BMW car insurance holder had chosen comprehensive cover, since otherwise he may have to spend money on the repair or replacement of his vehicle, but it is likely the taxi driver's insurers will be liable for the claim.
