Drivers told which garages to trust
People who have recently invested in car insurance can now access a website which provides details of the most reputable UK garages.
Motor Codes, the self-regulatory body for the automotive sector, took responsibility for developing the site. They claim that it will be a valuable resource for motorists who want further information on local main dealers, brand specialists or local independents.
The online tool has won the support of Trading Standards and the government, who point out that it will be particularly helpful to people who are on the hunt for a trustworthy mechanic.
The Managing Director of Motor Codes said, "Whether you have a new car and want to find your nearest main dealer or need a repair whilst on your travels this summer, Motor Codes can help you find a reliable, professional garage."
He went on to say that the website would be of real use to cheap car insurance customers, who are seeking impartial guidance and outstanding value.
In related news, the Clive Woolford Motor Engineers in Tewkesbury were recently awarded the Motor Codes Golden Garage award. They were recognised for delivering an outstanding service and being a business with a real community focus.
Those car insurance buyers who would like to reduce the need for regular visits to local garages have been reminded of the need to keep their vehicles topped up with oil and engine coolant.
