Car insurance quotes affected by irritating behaviour behind wheel
Becoming frustrated behind the wheel of a vehicle can not only affect a car insurance quote but also seriously compromise a driver's safety as well as the safety of other drivers on the roads.
A new poll has shown which irritating behaviours are the most likely to cause drivers to jeopardise their safety through road rage.
A car insurance specialist commissioned a survey of 2,500 drivers which was part of the company's annual survey of motorists and found that the dangerous practice of tailgating is the activity which gets the most negative reactions from UK drivers.
Seventy-nine percent of the motorists questioned said that tailgating infuriated them.
Following closely behind was the failure to indicate, with 70% of drivers angered by this action, and cutting in and not paying attention tied with 64% of the votes each.
Some of the other contributing factors to road rage in the UK are hogging the middle lane, driving too slowly, speeding, and other road users not saying thank you when a driver has given way for them.
To go alongside all of these annoying behaviours it appears that young drivers may not be as considerate as more experienced road users – 62% of motorists agree that drivers are less courteous on the road than they used to be.
In order not to have their car insurance quote affected, and avoid points being added to their licence, drivers with men and womens car insurance should make themselves aware of these factors and avoid them by driving in a safe and considerate manner.
