Car insurance quotes for hay fever sufferers

One way of finding the best car insurance quote possible is by driving safely and avoiding being involved in a road traffic accident which might result in a motorist invalidating their no-claims bonus.

For these reasons, individuals who are hoping to find cheap car insurance quotes when they renew their annual policy should be careful not to drive if they suffer symptoms of hay fever.

Statistics show that over 27% of UK motorists are affected by the affliction.

Insurers are warning motorists of the dangers they face if they drive while experiencing the symptoms of hay fever.

Ten percent of the hay fever sufferers questioned admit that they have to pull over to the side of the road when they are hit with a bout of excessive sneezing, with some people affected so badly that they sneeze once a minute on average.

Thirty-two percent also admit to having to take their eyes off the road when they are struck with symptoms because of the need for a tissue, which is not always easy to find.

An officer from the Central Motorway Police Group has explained that although he does have sympathy for those who suffer from the condition, driving whilst experiencing symptoms is extremely irresponsible as it could lead to a severe accident which could result in a serious personal injury or fatality.

Sufferers of hay fever should stay off the roads whilst affected as it could lead to a crash, being prosecuted, and possibly a more expensive car insurance quote than previous years.
