Cheap car insurance useful in Bournemouth and Poole
Getting cheap car insurance is useful in any area of the UK, but in Bournemouth it may be worth drivers trying to get really cheap car insurance if they can find it.
This month motorists in the Bournemouth area were shocked to see the cost of one BP garage's Ultimate Unleaded petrol.
The garage had priced its Unleaded at 148.9p a litre, when another BP garage in the area had it priced 21p lower and the closest rival company's price was 9p lower.
Road users were baffled that two garages from the same company could price their fuel so differently.
Some Bournemouth drivers are thinking about selling their cars, because they can no longer afford to buy the petrol for them.
Research by petrolprices.com shows that the cost of unleaded fuel in Bournemouth and Poole starts at 116.9p and reaches 124.9p at some garages. Premium fuel ranges from 119.9p to 148.9p.
One motorist, when told about the price discrepancies said, "I will be a lot more careful about where I buy petrol now – I always thought the prices were pretty similar."
New drivers from Bournemouth should try to save money by getting cheap car insurance, to make up for the expensive petrol price-tags.
