New Cardiff locations for cheap car insurance group

The Admiral Group, best known for its cheap car insurance, is expanding into new offices based in Cardiff.

The motor insurance company has bought an additional 13,200 square feet of office space in two city centre locations. The offices are based at Friary House and on the first floor of the huge Capitol Tower.

The Admiral Group owns a number of insurance brands, including women's car insurance specialist Diamond and online car insurance provider Elephant.co.uk. It also controls motor insurance price comparison site confused.com.

A spokesman for Admiral said: "This expansion is necessary following further growth of our workforce in Cardiff. Typically throughout our business the customer-facing brands and back office services have expanded."

However, Cardiff isn't the only location in Wales where the cheap car insurance company is buying extra ground space. It also recently acquired the Cyprium Building, which resides on a Swansea waterfront and measures an impressive 68,000 square feet.

The Admiral spokesman finished: "2006 was an exceptional year for growth and improvement in the Admiral Group and we are confident we will see that continue into 2007."
