Cheap car insurance out of the question for Doherty

With his reputation, Pete Doherty was never going to be a candidate for cheap car insurance. However, nearly every motor insurance company will be keeping its distance if the Babyshambles singer is convicted of a new set of motoring charges.

Doherty, who drivers a Jaguar, was stopped and arrested in late 2006 after police in London noticed his car being driven erratically.

His list of charges will certainly not impress cheap car insurance firms. They include failing to produce driving documents, driving without car insurance, driving without an MOT and driving a car while failing to comply with driving licence conditions.

He will be appearing in Thames Magistrates' Court on the 13th February 2007 to answer the charges.
Corrine Aldous of duck2water Car Insurance Services commented: "I dread to think of how much his motor insurance quotes are. Jaguar car insurance isn't cheap, even for experienced drivers with a good record."
