Road rage risking cheap car insurance quotes

Research from DriveSafe has shown that millions of UK motorists could be putting their cheap car insurance quotes in danger by succumbing to road rage.

In the survey, entitled "Courtesy on the Road", 16% of British drivers admitted to causing road rage incidents on at least one occasion, whilst 43% said that they had been on the receiving end of such actions.

When asked to outline the reasons behind road rage, 70% of those interviewed said that certain cars can trigger incidents, whilst 65% reported that some kinds of music could also be to blame.

A spokesperson for DriveSafe said: "It's concerning that so many drivers have been affected by incidences of road rage. Education is key to ensuring that drivers are taught not only the skills of how to drive a car, but also how to behave appropriately when behind the wheel."

Simon Hodges of motor insurance firm duck2water Car Insurance Services added: "Road rage has been the reason behind many an accident on UK roads, and motorists must realise that they are not only risking their cheap car insurance quotes but also lives by driving in this unsafe way."
