Road ragers drive away cheap car insurance
To the list of those that have caused shrinkage in the availability of cheap car insurance policies one can now add road ragers.
This is because, according to a survey by motor insurance company AXA, road rage is responsible for an alarming number of accidents and is in fact implicated in 33% of all road deaths.
As such, say some organisations, road rage needs to be taken more seriously and given a place at the front table of road safety concerns.
One problem with the issue of road rage is that its causes go deeper than mere road safety culture, to much deeper, pan-societal, ones.
And, believe experts, if it can be tackled, it may help temper rises in the motor insurance cover market and help put cheap car insurance policies back into the pockets of overburdened policyholders.
One thing's for certain, road ragers may drive away cheap car insurance, but being both more conviction-prone and more likely to be involved in an accident, they are, when compared to the polite motorist, much less likely to be driving away with it.
