Direct Line offers cheap motor insurance quote advice

Direct Line is offering advice to help young drivers get cheaper motor insurance quotes.

A spokesperson for the UK car insurance company explained that despite the fact that insurers will always price policies higher for younger motorists because they have a greater accident risk, there are some things which a motorist can do to cut the amount they have to pay out.

One way for young drivers to reduce their motor insurance quotes which the Direct Line spokesperson recommended is to drive a more moderate car and keep annual mileage to a minimum.

She went on: "You could also take the Pass Plus training. It costs around £100 to take and you can do this and get up to 35 per cent off.

"It's worthwhile doing if you're a young driver. From a financial point of view it makes sense, because the average premium for a young male driver is going to be around the £2,000 mark, so if you divide that by three, you are saving around £600."
