Exercises for motorists stuck in traffic
While finding the cheapest car insurance is a key priority for many motorists, another important factor for those behind the wheel is keeping fit and healthy.
A survey by a UK insurance provider has found that many commuters - about 84% - are spending an average of about 80 minutes driving to and from work.
Faced with the possible health issues of spending a great deal of time in stationary, sedentary positions, the insurer, Diamond, has put together a range of exercises while more used to supply car insurance quotes.
A ten-point exercise plan has been drawn up which can be tried when stuck in traffic queues and jams, or at other hold-ups.
Drawn up with the University of Wales Institute at Cardiff, exercises recommended involve arm stretching, shoulder circles, buttock clenching, calf stretches and facial exercises.
The exercises are easy to do while at a standstill for any length of time and can ease stress too, just like finding the cheapest car insurance around!
