Kwik Fit signs online e-certificate deal
Kwik Fit - a vehicle parts replacement firm - is planning to introduce ground-breaking electronic certificates for car insurance customers in the UK.
By signing a three-year contract with a company called SSP, Kwik Fit is expecting to be able to benefit from admin and post savings, as well as providing improved customer service.
Kwik Fit said online car insurance is now their main source of policy sales. By offering e-documentation, the company claims it can cut costs while growing its customer base and profits, while also developing client relationships.
A spokesman said customers buying online now expect e-delivery of documents, as well as low prices and high levels of service.
SDX secure messaging technology is planned to be used for the e-certificates.
Laws allowing car insurance certificates in the UK to be delivered by electronic methods are due to be passed sometime this year.
