Cheap car insurance for performance cars, says Flux

Adrian Flux has announced a new scheme that could mean cheap car insurance quotes for owners of performance cars.

According to the UK car insurer, even high risk motorists could make substantial savings through its Performance Car scheme.

It gave the example of a 30-year-old male with full no claims bonus and clean licence who could cut £145 off the cost of car insurance for a Mercedes SLK (equivalent to 35%) or £230.31 off a motor insurance quote for a Subaru Impreza WRX SYi (equivalent to 20%).

Even Porsche car insurance could be 29% cheaper under the Adrian Flux's new scheme.

A spokesperson for the cheap car insurance company said: "This is a sophisticated scheme that's designed to take into account many more variables to reduce the premium of high value, high performance motors.

"There's more variables with performance cars, and because the premiums tend to be higher there's more room for manoeuvre."
