Online car insurance company reveals Honda Civic most quoted-for car

A Canadian online car insurance provider has revealed that it provides the most motor insurance quotes for Honda Civics.

When Kanetix.ca examined the makes and models of cars that its customers had entered into its quote engine in 2006, it found that most people wanted to insure their Honda Civic. The Geo Cavalier was the next most popular in the online car insurance quote rankings, whilst the Toyota Corolla came in third.

Other cars which featured in the Kanetix.ca's top 10 were the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Hyundai Accent.

However, it was not entirely unpredictable that the Honda Civic would come top in the car insurance quote listings, since it is the most popular car in Canada and has come top in passenger car sales for the past nine years.

The car insurance company also found that more drivers than ever were looking to the web to find cheap motor insurance rates, with more than one million getting online car insurance quotes with it in 2006.
