Online car insurance firm offers cashback for hybrid vehicle drivers
An online car insurance company is now offering a new scheme that is designed to attract eco-friendly motorists.
Yesinsurance.co.uk, which specialises in motor insurance for cars over five years old, believes that it is the first online car insurance broker to offer cashback to those with hybrid vehicles.
Under the scheme, if a person takes out a cheap car insurance policy for a hybrid car with yesinsurance.co.uk then they will be entitled to a total of £40 cashback. £20 will be given to the customer, whilst the remaining £20 will be donated to Climatesure, an organisation dedicated to offsetting carbon emissions.
Paul Purdy of yesinsurance.co.uk said: "The cashback scheme forms part of a programme of activities which we hope will focus people's minds on the wider social implications of motoring.
"Motoring is a major contributor to carbon emissions and global warming and we want to help people reduce the amount of greenhouse gases that they produce.
"The move to reward drivers of hybrid vehicles is a first step. Longer-term we aim to broaden the scheme to include other types of fuel-efficient, low-emission vehicles," he finished.
