Direct Line giving personalised motor insurance quotes to drivers with dementia

Direct Line has revealed that it is providing personalised motor insurance quotes to drivers with dementia.

People who have been diagnosed with early dementia may well be able to go on driving, although the DVLA may impose time restrictions on their licence.

A spokesperson for the cheap car insurance firm revealed that one or three year driving licences were most likely to be allocated to those who inform the DVLA of this condition. However, if someone's dementia deteriorates to the point at which it is not safe to drive, they must stop immediately.

Direct Line are offering some assurance to drivers with dementia in that the firm is willing to give them motor insurance quotes based on their individual circumstances.
