Cover levels and good deals on insurance for car drivers
A comparison website is urging people searching for the best deal on insurance for car drivers to not skimp on cover to achieve cheaper premiums.
Moneysupermarket.com is warning motorists that it is important to have the right, not solely the cheapest, car insurance.
In a notice just issued to the marketplace, the car cover aggregator advises drivers to tailor insurance policies that provide a reasonable price for a level of cover that is appropriate.
The comparison site suggests motorists construct their own policy. By putting together insurance cover that is suited to needs, prices can differ greatly.
With the average premium now costing about £725, according to the AA, selecting and removing certain features allows policies to be customised to requirements at a suitable price.
Various options can be customised to achieve better deal on car insurance quotes including type of cover, protecting no claims discount, legal expenses cover, breakdown cover, a courtesy car option and the level of excess.
