Rust bucket buyers unlucky in love

Men that save on their insurance for car owners and buy 'rust buckets' are ruining their chances with the ladies according to one survey. A third of the women questioned in the poll admitted that they would turn down a man if his car did not meet their expectations.

However, the survey also revealed that some people may not care what members of the opposite sex think about their cars as one in fifty participants revealed they love their motors more than their partners.

Katie Armitage, marketing manager for motors.co.uk said that "many drivers have a special place in their hearts for their motors."

As cheap car insurance may be easier to find on a 'rust bucket', drivers have a difficult choice to make; go for a new car and increase chances of a love interest, or go for an older car and get cheaper insurance for car owners.
