Possible cheap car insurance holder crashed luxury car

A pensioner, who may have had cheap car insurance, was lucky to escape death after inadvertently crashing his Mercedes C280 through his garage wall in Plymouth.

The motorist, a retired school teacher from Devon, was steering his luxurious vehicle into a driveway parking space when it unexpectedly hurtled into the garage.

He told local median reporters that he had "gripped the steering wheel for dear life", when his car sped between the side walls and out into the garden below.

The experienced car insurance holder was fortunate enough to remain uninjured during the accident. However, his vehicle was completely written off.

The man said, "I was parking much as I do every time I take the car out and was carefully reversing into my garage when it suddenly shot backwards.

"It's a miracle I wasn't hurt or killed. I don't know what happened, but I suddenly shot backwards and there was nothing I could do.

"It was a massive shock and I was trapped in the car until neighbours came and the fire-fighters came and cut the roof off."

It is unknown whether the Plymouth resident will be able to make a cheap car insurance claim for damages sustained to his vehicle during the unexpected incident, since he will need comprehensive cover to do so.
