More people getting online motor insurance quotes
Kwik-Fit Financial Services has revealed that more and more people are going online to find cheap motor insurance quotes and purchase their new policy.
The cheap car insurance firm found that people were attracted to online motor insurance quotes because of the discounts that are sometimes available. Many companies, including RAC, Lloyds TSB and Tesco, reward those who buy over the net with a 10% saving on their car insurance as online business is cheaper than processing quotes over the phone.
A spokesman for Kwik-Fit Insurance Services commented: "The perception was always that intermediaries had more mouths to feed in terms of commission.
"But what has happened in the past two or three years is that there are more and more customers buying over the internet. This means that intermediaries can offer fairly substantial discounts by giving away more of the commission."
Kwik-Fit Insurance Services, which prides itself on its cheap motor insurance quotes, has recently announced that it has seen a "fourth successive year of growth."
