Online car insurance company offers Road Angel discount

An online car insurance company is offering customers the chance to get £75 off Road Angel devices.

Yesinsurance.co.uk is looking at the effect that one of these devices can have on a person's driving record after it was revealed that Road Angel users have better motoring histories.

Road Angel gadgets are very popular with UK drivers, as they identify upcoming accident blackspots and speed cameras as well as performing usual sat nav functions.

Earlier research into accident rates found that drivers who own a Road Angel have 50% fewer accidents than average. They are also much less likely to be convicted of any motoring offence than motorists without Road Angels.

In an effort to find out more about these links, the online car insurance firm will be carrying out comparisons between motorists who drive with and without Road Angels. People who buy motor insurance from Yesinsurance.co.uk will be given the option of getting a cut-price device in order to carry out wide-scale testing.
