Online car insurance company warns of Emmas from Sutton

If you are called Emma and you live in Sutton, an online car insurance company's research suggests that you - and other road users - should watch out.

The study, carried out by UK motor insurance firm esure, looked into the names and locations of the most accident-prone drivers on its books. It found that ladies named Emma - especially those from Sutton - were amongst the riskiest motorists on the road.

The online car insurance company calculated that Emmas from Sutton have a 69% crash risk rating, which is closely followed by the 60% rating of Evas from Kingston.

As well as looking at risky women drivers, esure's research also identified the profiles of the most - and least - accident-prone male drivers. Benjamins from Huddersfield have one of the highest chances of being involved in a car crash, whilst Edwards from Cleveland are least likely to need to call on their motor insurance company.

Despite these findings, the online car insurance firm has assured the public that it will not raise car insurance quotes for Sutton-based Emmas or Benjamins living in Huddersfield.
