No cheap car insurance for Top Gear presenter, says The Sun
The Sun has predicted that "cheap" car insurance for Top Gear Richard Hammond presenter would be in the region of £9,000 following his most recent accident.
Although neither his famous 300mph crash nor his second crash, which involved a rather expensive BMW 330, happened on public roads, The Sun reckons that these accidents could have an impact on his private motor insurance.
Taking into account factors such as the type of car Richard Hammond drivers - reportedly an £80,000 Porsche 911 - and his London location as well as his accidents, the car insurance experts at the paper believe that his next motor insurance quote could be as much as £9,000.
A spokesperson for duck2water Car Insurance Services commented: "If The Sun's estimate is accurate, Richard Hammond is going to have a job and a half finding a cheap car insurance deal.
"His best bet may be to go to a specialist Porsche car insurance provider who routinely insures high-value vehicles such as his 911."
