Online car insurance firm offers physiotherapy feature
An online car insurance firm is recommending that drivers add a physiotherapy feature onto their motor insurance policies.
Norwich Union, which specialises in cheap car insurance for UK drivers, is now offering PhysioFast as an add-on to their basic motor insurance. This service, which costs £15, means that injured drivers and passengers can attend a consultation followed by up to 8 physiotherapy sessions for treatment for injuries like whiplash.
Stephen Dullenty of the online car insurance provider said: "Delays in diagnosis can result in even more serious complications and reduce the chances of a full and speedy recovery.
"Making sure you have the right cover is key as it allows you to receive the right treatment for physical or emotional injuries."
This optional cover is also designed to help drivers get back their confidence behind the wheel, which many people find is affected by a crash. Motorists will be invited to attend a two hour driver confidence session with a BSM driving instructor during which they will go over the causes of their accident and brush up on some driving skills.
Mr Dullenty finished: "Motor insurance does a great job of looking after the car but we believe there should be something available to also look after the driver."
