Volkswagen car insurance costs may fall as sales rise
Volkswagen has just reported that its sales figures are up across its portfolio of marques. It also projects growth throughout 2008, suggesting that Volkswagen car insurance will also be a growth area this year.
The chief executive also announced that profits had exceeded €4.1 million, but did not say by how much. The main VW brand had sales that increased by almost eight percent, with Audi and Bentley both raising their sales by slightly below seven percent.
The smallest increase was registered by SEAT, at 0.4 percent, which can be compared to Skoda's remarkable 14.6 percent rise.
Already the world's fourth largest carmaker, Volkswagen may see these figures as a reason to eye the third slot, currently held by Ford. The UK's cheap car insurance company underwriters and Volkswagen motor insurance customers may look at the figures as a sign that economies of scale may lead to a cheaper premium on a Volkswagen car insurance policy.
