Three injured after rally car crash
Cheap car insurance for rally cars could become even harder to find following the car crash at Abingdon Motor Sports Carnival which left three people injured.
The crash happened at 09:30 on Sunday morning after the rally car left the track at the Dalton Barracks in Oxfordshire, hitting the grass verge and careering into two marshals and a photographer.
An 18-year-old man from Camberley, Surrey, was taken by air ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital with serious injuries, while two other men, aged 22 and 60, suffered only minor injuries.
The driver and co-driver of the car were treated at the scene for shock and are helping police with their enquiries.
The cause of the incident is being investigated by police officers in conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive and the British Motorsport Association.
The crash could affect the rally driver's chances of finding cheap car insurance on and off the circuit.
