Really cheap car insurance and V11 forms

Avoiding paying insurance for cars, even if they are not being currently used, could soon become a thing of the past. Drivers in the UK are being forced to find really cheap car insurance or any other type of car cover before the changes come into force in the spring.

To ensure motorists are able to find more information and get a new car insurance quote, the DVLA and the Motor Insurer's Bureau (MIB) are distributing leaflets which let car drivers know of changes to the V11 renewal tax forms, as well as online at direct.gov.

These new rules have been brought forward so that the government can start to crack down on uninsured car owners. Being made aware of people who have their vehicles properly registered with the authorities allows the MIB and the DVLA to keep an eye on who's insured and who isn't. This will make it simpler to uncover the drivers who are not obeying the law.

Having really cheap car insurance for drivers is being threatened by the amount it costs the Government to cover costs associated with uninsured drivers on UK roads. On average it is a cost of £30 on every insurance policy.

Authorities are planning to keep a close watch on drivers as these rules come into effect later in the spring. They hope this will have positive consequences and keep the level of uninsured drivers on our roads down.
