Ford Fiesta rated as "best-driving" supermini

A WhatCar? review has named the Ford Fiesta as the "best-driving" supermini out there, confirming the views of many Ford fans.

Its responsive steering, firm suspension and excellent grip earns it lots of respect from the reviewer, who also praises its spaciousness and "sharp looks".

However, he also points out that the Ford's excellent handling does mean that its ride is a little stiff at slower speeds, meaning that urban routes may prove slightly less comfortable than is ideal.

He also praises the 1.4 and 1.6 Ford Fiesta turbodiesels for their high speed performance, but indicates that the 1.25 petrol engine isn't so ideal for driving on A-roads and motorways.

The WhatCar? review also rates the cost of buying and owning a Ford Fiesta - such as car insurance and fuel efficiency - as being reasonable, and that depreciation is "on par" with rival models.
