UK car insurance buyers want the best price, not low excess
According to new survey results form Fairinvestment.co.uk, the most important criteria for purchase of UK car insurance is price.
Of those taking part in the poll, 57% said that cost was the most crucial element in deciding which motor insurance policy to opt for.
Level of cover was considered the second most important consideration with 19% of the vote. Next came provision of courtesy car, with 5% of motorists questioned placing that as the most important item.
Trailing in with a paltry 2% of the vote, were breakdown cover, discounted rate for partners, low excess and protected no claims bonus.
A spokesperson for Fairinvestment.co.uk said, "Motorists should be careful choosing their car insurance by price alone, the cheapest car insurance is not always the best and there are other aspects to be taken into consideration."
A duck2water UK car insurance specialist advised, "Our online service recommends a number of the best quotes available and states what is included in the policy. It is always advisable to read the small print detail, to see exactly what restrictions apply, before agreeing to a policy."
