Bentley owners getting younger, says UK car insurance firm

A UK car insurance company has revealed that the age of people owning prestige cars such as Ferraris has recently fallen significantly.

According to Peart Insurance Brokers, a company which specialises in young driver car insurance and other high-risk groups, the average age of someone who drives a Bentley, Ferrari or Aston Martin has dropped from 45 to 35 in just 18 months.

A spokesperson for Peart Insurance Brokers commented: "Until recently it was rare to see anyone under 45 owning one of these cars."

"Owning one of these vehicles is practically unthinkable for the average driver, not only because of the cost of buying it in the first place, but also due to the maintenance costs," said a representative for duck2water Car Insurance Services.

"However, I suppose that the cost of Ferrari car insurance is going to be a drop in the ocean for those who can afford to splash out on them."
