American online car insurance expands to cover homes

One of the best known American online car insurance sites is expanding its services to include home insurance.

Super-value-insurance.com is renowned for its cheap car insurance quotes, which it gets by comparing deals from leading motor insurance providers.

However, its decision to expand from online car insurance to home insurance is thought to have come as a surprise to some due to the competitiveness of the sector.

A spokesperson for super-value-insurance.com said: "There are indeed a great number of competitors around but most of them rely on faulty services and are merely just made as Adsense types of sites.

"There is indeed a tough competition going on but their number is much smaller than what a simple Google query will show," he commented.

He revealed that the company's plan was "to build a customer base that makes the best possible choice and is generally knowledgeable on the subject" in order to secure repeat business.

He went on: "We are aware that most customers will stick to the first quality service they find, this is why we are so optimistic about it. Sure right now we encounter the difficulties experienced by any start up company but we are sure that the customer base will eventually broaden."
