Vauxhall Corsa is star prize in charity draw

Shoppers in Eastbourne are getting the chance to own a sparkling new Vauxhall Corsa for just £1.

Motorists in the Arndale Centre have been invited to donate £1 to a charity draw, with the winner walking away with - or rather driving away in - a bright red Vauxhall Corsa Breeze worth £9,000.

The prize, which will raise money for a number of charities including the MS Society, Mustard Seed and Eastbourne Shopmobility, has been sponsored by the Eastbourne Motoring Centre.

The Vauxhall comes equipped with lots of added extras, including alloy wheels, ABS brakes, a CD and MP3 player, and air con.

The Christmas 'Win a Car' contest has been going for seven years, with the running total of money raised for charity adding up to more than £100,000. Previous prizes included a red Toyota Aygo and a black special edition Vauxhall Corsa.

A spokesperson for Eastbourne Motoring Centre said: "We're delighted to be involved with Win A Car once again. This is a fantastic promotion which supports so many worthwhile charities at this special time of year."
