Drivers see car insurance research and servicing as chores
A considerable number of female car insurance customers are reluctant to take their vehicles for servicing, according to Bosch Car Service.
The company, which offer vehicle maintenance for various types of cars, revealed that only 30% of ladies would take it upon themselves to have their cars serviced. Men are generally more willing to make the trip to a local garage.
Men are also far more confident than women are, of being treated fairly by local mechanics. However, women drivers do have the option of visiting garages recognised as being female-friendly by a company campaigning for women's rights.
The Bosch Car Service concept manager said, "It is clear that there is still a feeling of discomfort amongst women drivers towards taking their cars in for a service, which could be why they are leaving it up to men.
"Car servicing professionals need to continue to do all they can to build the same levels of confidence among all customers, regardless of whether they are male or female, old or young."
He went on to reveal that many novice motorists ask their parents to take their vehicles for servicing, because they lack experience and knowledge about pricing. Such issues are also a worry for young insurance for car customers.
In related news, Warranty Direct recently revealed that faulty springs and shocks are among the most common vehicle problems, which often lead to car insurance claims.
