Film fans fawn over Volkswagen stunt simulator

Film buffs and stunt fans can now set up their own high speed crashes thanks to an online application connected to Volkswagen and The Bourne Ultimatum.

It allows anyone to arrange some stunning vehicle stunts with just a few clicks of a button. There is a choice of six different Volkswagens, including the Touareg, Golf, Beetle, and Phaeton, for users to play around with.

The cars can be set up across a city - even on the roofs of buildings - and there are all sorts of settings and options to choose from, including props, effects and environmental conditions.

A spokesperson for Volkswagen said: "The stunt simulator puts movie fans at the heart of stunt scene co-ordination. Users can experiment with hundreds of different camera angles, and edit sequences of events just like they would if they were making a real film."

The simulator can be found at www.bournestuntsimulator.com and fans of the Bourne series can see the finale at cinemas from August 16th 2007.
