Really cheap car insurance appeals to women
The average British woman is such a keen bargain-hunter she spends eight months of her lifetime searching for bargains which can include really cheap car insurance.
A survey by an internet voucher company found that, although women mainly spent their time seeking cut-price clothes or supermarket deals, 60% were always watching the pennies and 45% tried to avoid ever paying full price.
The survey of 4,000 women found that 20 minutes out of each of their eight monthly shopping trips were used for bargain-seeking for clothes and nearly 40 minutes a week went on supermarket comparisons.
The internet is also used by consumers looking for goods and services such as a car insurance quote and the survey suggested 23 minutes are used each week to compare prices between businesses' websites including those selling really cheap car insurance.
