Young driver car insurance risked in bookshop collision
A Lincoln woman was shaken recently as a car ploughed into the frontage of the bookshop below her flat. An underage driver was arrested, and may struggle to find a cheap quote for young driver car insurance if convicted of the charges resulting from this.
The crash occurred at 9.30am on Sunday. Describing it, the 24-year-old said that "I heard one almighty crash and the earth shook."
Firefighters discovered a crack running the full height of the building following the collision, and shored up the building with wooden beams to prevent the building falling down.
The 16-year-old arrested in connection with this crash has been charged with driving with excess alcohol and assault, and will appear before Skegness Youth Court next month. If a conviction results, there is every likelihood that the teenager will find that young driver car insurance will not be cheap.
