New online car insurance site offers customers like-for-like comparisons

An ex-Admiral worker has started up a new online car insurance comparison site aiming to provide a unique service to consumers.

Whereas most insurance comparison websites - such as Moneysupermarket.com and Confused.com look at policies by price, GoCompare.com compares them on a like-for-like basis.

Newport-based GoCompare.com has strong links with major motor insurance companies such as Swiftcover.com, Norwich Union and More Than.

Ms Parsons, who thought up and created GoCompare.com said: "We really want to offer consumers an informed choice when buying insurance and aim to establish ourselves as a key player within a very short time."

She explained that there is huge potential in the online insurance aggregator market, despite the fact that 17% of consumers are already utilising these free services.

She commented: "There's a big market out there and our team has a lot of professional and insurance industry experience in this area.

"We have invested heavily in the technology needed to give our customers the very best service available."

She explained that the online car insurance site was "an absolutely free service" which will save customers "bundles of cash".
