Online car insurance firm offers 4th of July driving advice
America's largest online car insurance company is advising motorists visiting the US to be careful on the 4th of July.
Insurance.com has issued a set of driving tips that will help to keep drivers and pedestrians safe and sound when out on the roads over the public holiday.
A spokesperson for the online car insurance firm said: "July 3rd and 4th are two of the most dangerous days on the roads, and statistically we see a spike in auto-related injuries and deaths."
Insurance.com advises motorists to ensure their cars are in tip top condition, with lights, tyres and battery all functioning correctly, and to drive with caution when near large crowds, especially at night.
The motor insurance company's spokesperson went on: "By following basic concepts such as obeying speed limits, and never drinking and driving, we can all do our part to increase road safety.
"This is especially true on the 4th of July holiday. Families are out on the road together, viewing fireworks, attending parties and get-togethers and Insurance.com wants everyone to enjoy this great time of year safely."
